Written by E.B. White and illustrated by Garth Williams, Charlotte's Web tells the story of the extraordinary friendship between a pig named Wilbur and a barn spider named Charlotte. When Wilbur's life is in danger of being killed by the farmer, Charlotte composes words celebrating Wilbur (such as "Some Pig") in her Web in the hopes of convincing the farmer to let him live.
Charlotte's Web is regarded as a classic of children's literature but is enjoyed by adults and children alike. In 2000, Publishers Weekly classified the novel as the best-selling children's paperback of all time.
Adapted into an animated feature in 1973, the book was also adapted into a live-action movie in 2006.
