Nataly Barahona
Traditional Dance
Originally from Colombia, Nataly has years of experience performing traditional Colombian dance. She has performed internationally, sharing awareness of Colombian deaf culture and sign language.

Brian Cheslik
ASL Storyteller
Brian Cheslik is a former high school theatre teacher and performing arts program coordinator. He now works as an assistant professor and program director for the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley ASL Interpreting Program. Brian is the founding artistic director of Deaf Austin Theatre, where he co-directed the 2019 production of Next to Normal. Brian services the Austin theatre community by educating theaters on accessibility needs for Deaf performers and audiences, as well as training performance interpreters. Brian holds a bachelor's degree in English Literature from Gallaudet University, a master’s in Deaf studies & Deaf education from Lamar University, and has a doctorate in Deaf studies & Deaf education from Lamar University ’21.

Ebony Gooden
Artist and Advocate
Ebony R. Gooden is a freelance artist, digital media artist and advocate based in Calgary, Alberta. She also owns a Greek restaurant, Mykonos Street Grill. Originally from the US, she earned her BA in digital communication and visual/multimedia arts from Gallaudet University. She is active in the Calgary arts community, consulting on issues of accessibility, diversity, equity and inclusion for visible minority artists who are Deaf or hard of hearing. Ebony’s activism during provincial Black Lives Matter rallies raised the crucial issue of insufficient Black interpreters in Alberta, and across Canada. Her work highlighted the impact of working with interpreters who do not reflect the Black Deaf community and are unable to use Black ASL (BASL).

Heba Toulan
Sign Language Shakespearean
Heba Toulan hails from Washington, D.C. area. Her credits include Hecate for Macbeth at the Woodlands Arts in the Park and Shakespeare in the Shade, Soothsayer in Antony and Cleopatra, ensemble in DeafBroadway's Les Misérables, Union Soldier in Civil Engagement, Love, Loss, and What I Wore, Improv Night, Talent Show, and The Vagina Monologues. She contributed to the DeafCon as a moderator, and in Manny, Bailey's Voice and The Love Language. She performed at the Cairo Opera House with the Gallaudet Dance Group in 1989.
