Visual communication is a communication mode that uses some signs from American Sign Language or hand cues in the order of English grammar and syntax. Hence, combining parts of two languages into a single communication mode.

Manually Coded English systems

Manually Coded English (MCE) is a general term used to describe a visual system that attempts to represent spoken English. Different MCE systems have its own rules and variations, known as code, on how to sign or represent different parts of the English syntax and grammar.

They use some ASL signs. Other signs or hand movements in the MCE systems are created specifically to the system's code. Currently, there are two major MCE systems.
