He begged him to accompany him back to the house of Doctor Jekyll to check on him. He agreed, arrived at Doctor Jekyll's house and he noticed the workers circled up in fear. They approached the door, knocked on the door and asked to visit Doctor Jekyll. The person in the room said, "No. I am not seeing anybody." Mr. Poole told Mr. Utterson he believed that Doctor Jekyll had died eight days ago. Now in this past eight days the person in that room had written notes demanding medications. It seemed as though the paper was written by Doctor Jekyll, but Mr. Poole wasn't convinced. He also noticed that the silhouette of the body in that room was a different shape. It was not that of Doctor Jekyll. Mr. Utterson decided to break down the door to check and see what's going on. So they did. They began to bang on the door until it opened. And immediately they noticed Mr. Hyde convulsing on the floor after having drank poison. That was the end of Mr. Hyde. They began to look for the body of Doctor Jekyll. Upon looking, they noticed an envelope for Mr. Utterson. They opened the envelope, read the letter that said, "You must read the letter that Doctor Lanyon wrote."
