Spaghetti and Meatballs for All

TEACHER NOTES:

This math lesson is based on the book Spaghetti and Meatballs for All! First, you will read the story with your class together or independently. Students will practice their story problem skills using perimeter and area. Use the PowerPoint provided to guide the class with the activities. The first activity is meant to be done together as a class and is based on the book. Students will have to use the book to find the answers. The second activity is independent practice using perimeter and area skills. 

OBJECTIVES:

  • Students will read and solve math word problems using perimeter and area.

  • Students will show their work.
